GIFTED AND TALENTED. GIFT OR CURSE? Gifted and Talented children make up to 10 per cent of the student population. Yet the vast majority are never identified. For the child that isn't, and who spends several hours a day waiting for their peers to catch up, that gift can be a curse. Boredom and frustration can set in, leading to misbehaviour, acting out, and possible disruption in the classroom. CAT4, the Cognitive Abilities Test 4th edition, can make a big difference to that child's life.
BEING GIFTED ISN'T JUST ONE THING. Gifted and Talented children require educational support and specialised interventions, if they are to reach their full potential. But the first step is to identify who they are and their specific needs - because being ‘gifted’ isn’t just one thing - it’s many. This is why you must identify them with a test that measures all four areas of reasoning and cognitive abilities: 1.Quantitative; 2.Verbal; 3.Nonverbal and 4.Spatial - the key determinant for success in STEM subjects. There’s only one such test - the CAT4.
SHINE A LIGHT ON THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL WITH CAT4. Administered online, CAT4 provides instant reports with essential data for identifying potential, personalised learning, engaging with parents and monitoring progress. With no dependence on language CAT4 is also highly suitable for EAL students. Listen to PAA Education's Terri Cornish explain CAT4 and its reporting in more detail in the following video.
